BrainyLeo ("BrainyLeo", "we", "us") is a learning tool that turns a photo of a textbook page into a fun, voice-guided quiz for children. This policy explains what information we handle, how we use it, and the choices you have. BrainyLeo is designed to be set up and operated by a parent or guardian.

1. Information we handle

  • Pages you upload. When you take a photo or upload a PDF to generate a quiz, the image is sent to our AI provider to create questions and is processed in real time. Uploaded pages are not stored on our servers after the quiz is generated.
  • Email address (optional). If you join the waitlist, we store the email address you provide so we can contact you about early access.
  • Feedback you send. If you submit feedback, we store the message so we can read and act on it.
  • On-device data. Progress, coins, streaks, and preferences are saved in your browser's local storage on your device. They are not sent to us.
  • Basic usage analytics. We use privacy-friendly analytics to understand how the site is used (for example, which pages are visited) so we can improve it.

2. How we use information

  • To generate quizzes from the pages you upload.
  • To read questions aloud and provide the interactive experience.
  • To contact waitlist members about early access and product updates.
  • To review feedback and improve BrainyLeo.

3. Children's privacy

BrainyLeo is intended to be used by a parent or guardian together with their child. We do not ask children to create accounts, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Quizzes are generated from the page content you choose to upload. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

4. Service providers

We rely on trusted third parties to operate BrainyLeo — for example, AI services that generate quiz questions and the voice that reads them aloud, hosting infrastructure, and analytics. These providers process information only as needed to provide their service.

5. Data retention

Uploaded pages are processed transiently and not retained. Waitlist emails and feedback are kept until they are no longer needed or until you ask us to remove them. On-device data stays on your device until you clear your browser storage.

6. Your choices

  • You can use the demo without providing an email address.
  • You can ask us to delete your waitlist email or feedback at any time.
  • You can clear on-device data by clearing your browser's storage for this site.

7. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the limited information we handle. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above.
