Last summer I stayed at my Nani's house in the village. Behind her house there is a wide green field.

One morning I saw a peacock standing in the field. Its long tail lay on the grass behind it. I stood very still.

Slowly the peacock lifted its tail and opened it like a fan. The feathers had blue and green circles, and they shone in the sun.

Nani told me that peacocks dance like this before the rain comes. That evening it rained, and I believed her.
