How to work out the 3 table
The trick: Double the number, then add it once more. For 3 × 8: double 8 is 16, plus 8 is 24.
The pattern: Add up the digits of any answer and you get 3, 6 or 9. For 24: 2 + 4 = 6.

- 213 × 7 means 3 added 7 times, which makes 21.
- 273 × 9 means 3 added 9 times, which makes 27.

- 15Each step adds 3. After 12 comes 12 + 3 = 15.
