Read the passage
A monkey sat in a palm tree watching the people on the road below. One child threw a coconut at the tree. The monkey picked it up and bit into the shell, but it was too hard.
A farmer came along carrying coconuts in a basket. The monkey climbed down. When the farmer was not looking, the monkey took a coconut from the basket and started to run.
The farmer saw him and threw a rock. The monkey held the coconut so tightly in both his arms that he could not hold onto the tree branches as he climbed. He lost his footing and fell with a thump onto the ground.
The monkey sat up slowly, picked himself up, and looked at the coconut in his arms. He dropped it and went back to sit in the tree, watching more carefully now. That coconut was not worth the climb.
